No Rulers

No Rulers

According to Wikipedia, the etymology of the word “anarchy” is as follows:
The word anarchy comes from the ancient Greek ἀναρχία, anarchia, from ἀν an, “not, without” + ἀρχός arkhos, “ruler”, meaning “absence of a ruler”, “without rulers”).
That’s what Zoz is like. No rulers. Note that it does not say “without rules.” That “r” is important. An ethically principled society can exist without someone to enforce the code of ethics, as long as the children are raised peacefully (IE without coercion – yes I know how difficult that sounds), and the ethical principles are internally logically consistent. The first Zozian colonists set out with this idea as an experiment, just like the American revolution was an experiment. In this story, the Zozian experiment was much more successful than the American one, but as we’ll get into in future episodes, it wasn’t perfect either. [level-subsc]
So this new job of mine is amazing, but so far it’s taking a lot out of me. I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep up a page a week pace much longer, but we’ll see! I’ll do my best!
[/level-subsc] See you next time as Zik resolves to set things right on this prison planet! ALSO! You’ve got to check out the AMAZING guest art that Raven Perez sent! CLICK IIIIITTTT! zikcolor I just stared at it and stared at it when he first sent it to me. Mind=blown. Do yourself a favor and go read Raven’s Dojo, because the whole comic looks that awesome.
