Reunions

An elated Zik rushes back to find Amelia with Vera and a recovering Trent. He assures them that the new spaceships that have appeared are friends who have arrived to rescue them. The shuttle doors open and Zik eagerly greets his good friend James Anchor, who has brought some muscle to back him up. While Jason and Seamus keep a watchful eye for trouble, Zik quickly introduces his new Zernabian friends to James, and tells him about the insanity of Queen Elcyra. Zik also tries to compliment James on an incredible shot, but it was Tanaka who took out the giant clonoid from his snub fighter! The fighter lands, the doors open… and Amelia screams! What has she seen?

Plotting A Course

Ever the cagey combatant, James Anchor wants to stay hidden for as long as possible. Without knowing the capabilities of your opponents, it’s always safest to assume that they can vaporize you with a glance. That isn’t far from the truth, since Zozians spent the better part of the last millennium asleep on a colony ship! A course is laid in, and off they go!

Here’s a fun thing about Jupiter’s asteroids: what I depicted in today’s comic is something that actually exists in our solar system!

Gas Giant

James Anchor has arrived in the system where Zik is, and he’s wisely hiding near the north pole of a gas giant, hoping its massive magnetic field will hide him from scanners.
Aurorae are very huge things on gas giants! Take a look at this one on Jupiter! Keep in mind that Jupiter is 11.2 times bigger than earth. That’s a huge aurora!

The Chadee

James Anchor is addressing his crew, but who is this mysterious Tanaka? And who or what are the Chadee? Are they mighty warriors? Maybe James has a secret weapon in case Queen Elcyra decides to attack! Stay tuned, faithful readers, because there’s a lot of excitement and action coming this year!

James Anchor

Allow me to introduce Zik’s buddy James Anchor! James is the brain-child of my seven year-old son Vincent (hence the cute pet mouse on the shoulder of a seasoned warrior). His ship, the Kodiak, was a collaborative effort we did with Lego, the prototype for which I will see if I can find a picture of and post in the Members Area. With that kind of firepower, will he be able to give Queen Elcyra a run for her money?
