Defender Zik Lore Break

Zozian society is based on the Non-Aggression Principle as a moral axiom. It's basically unheard of to go out picking a fight (especially considering how many Zozians are armed to the teeth). Instead people start with dialogue and get mediators when they can't work it out.  It doesn't always work out that way, and sometimes people still have a moment of passion, but it's rare.

Unfortunately, Zik, having been raised in that environment, simply takes it for granted that people would understand the need to talk before engaging in hostilities. A totalitarian regime like Zernabia is an alien concept for him! Here on the Prison Planet, state aggression is the norm.
