Defender Zik is curious to know more about the Indian visitors to Zoz, so he asks Francisco to scan them to ascertain their capabilities. Right away there's a problem, however; Francisco can only get readings off one of the 5 vessels, an escort ship.

Suddenly, a message appears on Francisco's screen, startling him. A countdown timer for one minute begins, warning him that any further scanning will be blocked once the timer runs out! Zik tells him to grab whatever information he can in the time allotted.

Once the minute is up, Francisco is not much farther ahead in trying to understand the Indian vessels. Their technology is so advanced compared to what the Zozians use that he can't make heads or tails of what he's looking at! A millennium of technological advancement separates the two cultures, and from what Francisco can glean, just one of the five ships is more than capable of handling a pitched battle with every Zozian in the system.

Defender Zik quickly contacts James Anchor aboard the Kodiak II, warning him of the danger these vessels pose, and asking him to relay his warning to everyone else around. The Zozians have to play it cool, because one false move could end their civilization!
